Sepp Straka is the solo leader heading into the final round at the 2025 Hero World Challenge after firing a third-round 64, going shot-for-shot with two-time defending champion Scottie Scheffler. Straka now holds a solo lead at 17 under with 18 holes remaining.
Straka maintained a bogey-free card on Saturday, playing steadily and capitalizing on opportunities with four birdies and two eagles, notably chipping in on the par-5 sixth and rolling one in on the par-5 fifteenth to reach the top of the leaderboard at Albany Golf Club.

Straka remarked on his performance, saying, “Yeah, I played pretty nice. My iron play was really good; I just struggled with the driver a little bit. Hopefully I’ll clean that up for tomorrow.”
Scheffler, world No. 1, had an impressive day with eight birdies and an eagle but marred his score with two bogeys in his last three holes, finishing at 16 under, just one stroke behind Straka. He expressed confidence going into the final round, stating, “Just continue to execute. More of that tomorrow, and I think I’ll be in a good spot.”
