Is Mohamed Salah's Liverpool Journey Coming to an End?

Following a lackluster performance and repeated benchings, Mohamed Salah expresses disappointment with Liverpool, hinting it could be the end of his time at the club.

Liverpool’s dramatic 3-3 draw against Leeds United on Saturday drew focus not just on the field action but also on the absence of key player Mohamed Salah, who was benched for the third consecutive match.

The Egyptian star has experienced a frustrating stretch, failing to contribute to any goals in his last seven appearances. With only five goals and three assists this season, Liverpool’s slide in the standings adds to his discontent.

In a revealing statement post-match, Salah shared, “It seems like the club has thrown me under the bus. That is how I am feeling. I think it is very clear that someone wanted me to get all of the blame.” The comments raise concerns about a potential rift with manager Arne Slot.

Salah’s relationship with Slot has reportedly soured this season. He remarked, “I said many times before that I had a good relationship with the manager, and all of a sudden, we don’t have any relationship. I don’t know why, but it seems to me, that someone doesn’t want me in the club.”

He heads into the Africa Cup of Nations on December 15, and if successful, he may not return until after the January transfer window. Despite recently signing an extension with Liverpool, this period could mark his final games at Anfield. He emphasized, “I have done so much for this club.”

The future remains uncertain, and with previous interest from the Saudi Pro League, Salah’s future could see him departing if Liverpool decide to move on.
