Record-Breaking Viewership for 2026 World Cup Draw on FOX

FOX's broadcast of the 2026 World Cup draw attracts over 1.23 million viewers, setting a new record in U.S. English-language TV.

It was a monumental display of interest as FOX’s broadcast of the FIFA World Cup Draw on December 9, 2025, attracted a record 1.23 million viewers, marking it as the most-watched event of its kind in U.S. English-language television history.

Viewership surged by 242% compared to the FIFA World Cup 2022 Final Draw, which only registered 360,000 viewers. The broadcast reached its highest point from 1:45 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET, with 1,358,000 viewers tuning in.

Additionally, the preshow captured the attention of 913,000 viewers, reflecting an 813% increase from the previous World Cup preshow, while the postshow audience also saw a substantial rise with 710,000 viewers, up by 473% compared to 2022.

The draw revealed the allocation of all 48 teams for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in summer 2026. Notably, the United States, one of the co-hosts, will be competing in Group D alongside Paraguay and Australia, with one more country yet to be determined.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will commence on June 11, 2026, and will be broadcast on FOX.
