FRISCO, Texas – Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has successfully cleared the concussion protocol and is set to fully participate in the upcoming Sunday Night Football match against the Minnesota Vikings.
Lamb is progressing towards his return just 10 days after suffering a concussion during a game against the Detroit Lions. The injury occurred when he attempted an acrobatic, one-handed catch and slammed his head into the turf. Post-injury, he exhibited unusual hand movements known as a fencing response.
In spite of these concerns, Lamb remains positive about his quick recovery, stating, “Man, nah, in a situation like that, you don’t want to dwell on potential injuries. You just have to focus on the opportunity to play the game.”
Lamb emphasized the importance of staying mentally prepared and avoiding negativity surrounding injuries. He expressed that he has not experienced any lingering symptoms from the concussion and feels confident about returning to the field.
Dak Prescott, the Cowboys’ quarterback, also reassured fans about Lamb’s readiness, noting he observed Lamb practicing well this past week.
As Lamb gets ready for his next game, he hopes to notch his fifth consecutive season with at least 1,000 receiving yards, where he would join Hall of Famer Michael Irvin as the only players in Cowboys history to achieve this milestone.
