Both Inter Milan and Bayer Leverkusen sought to hire him this past summer, yet he chose to stay with Como, valuing the resources and support available at the club over immediate higher-profile opportunities.

“I understand that you need to take care of the players a hundred percent. There is much more information now than what we used to have before, but you need to live the moment and you don’t know what will happen in three years,” he mentioned during his appearance on Kickin’ It with Kate Scott.
