Cesc Fabregas is often regarded as one of the most intriguing young managers in Europe, attracting attention from several top clubs after a successful first season at Como, where he led the team to a top 10 finish in Serie A. Both Inter Milan and Bayer Leverkusen sought to hire him this past summer, yet he chose to stay with Como, valuing the resources and support available at the club over immediate higher-profile opportunities.
“I understand that you need to take care of the players a hundred percent. There is much more information now than what we used to have before, but you need to live the moment and you don’t know what will happen in three years,” he mentioned during his appearance on Kickin’ It with Kate Scott.
Reflecting on his development at clubs like Barcelona and Arsenal, he shared insights about meeting a young Lionel Messi and the different styles of play he experienced.
After a noteworthy career spanning Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea, and AS Monaco, he transitioned to Como in 2022, where he also took on the role of a club shareholder. His partnership with Henry keeps him grounded as a young manager, continually motivating him.
Fabregas remains focused on his team’s growth; he emphasized consistency amid the excitement of youth. As Como prepares for future challenges, including potential European competition, he summed up his perspective:
“When in Europe? Hopefully soon. We will give our best.”
With aspirations set high, he aims to lead Como to European qualifications, highlighting a promising journey ahead.
