Despite a challenging end to her previous season, Reese confirmed, “I’m under contract, so yes, I plan on returning to the Sky,” during her media appearance.

Reese is committed through 2027, but her future stirred discussions after she missed the conclusion of the 2025 season due to injuries and suspensions. After airing her grievances regarding the team’s management and roster decisions, she stated, “I’m not settling for the same situation we encountered this year” and emphasized the need for improvements.

Furthermore, she raised concerns about fellow player Courtney Vandersloot’s future contributions, saying, “We can’t rely on Courtney to come back at her age.” This remark has been met with mixed reactions, prompting Reese to later apologize for any misunderstandings.
