Antonee Robinson, left back for the United States, received his first official start of the Premier League season with Fulham following his recovery from knee surgery. Robinson underwent surgery on his right knee on May 27, just days after the conclusion of Fulham’s Premier League campaign. Since then, he has faced continuous knee pain, allowing him to play only four matches this season - three of which were as a substitute and one in the English League Cup.
His latest appearance was against Aston Villa on September 28. Securing a place in Fulham’s starting lineup for the match against Burnley this Saturday is significant for Robinson, as it improves his chances of representing the United States in the forthcoming FIFA World Cup that the U.S. will co-host. This season, he has yet to participate in any international fixtures for the national team.
“His inclusion back into the starting team could be a turning point for our World Cup squad,” said a source from the team.
“Sua inclusão de volta ao time titular pode ser um ponto de virada para nosso elenco da Copa do Mundo.”
