Davante Adams Injury Update: Rams WR Week-to-Week, Unlikely to Play Against Seahawks

Los Angeles Rams receiver Davante Adams is dealing with a hamstring injury, raising concerns about his availability for the upcoming games as well as the playoffs.

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams left the game on Sunday against the Detroit Lions after suffering a non-contact hamstring injury, ultimately not returning. This injury could have major implications for Matthew Stafford’s passing game, as Adams had been his second-leading target.

Adams, prior to the injury, was playing through a mild hamstring issue and appeared to worsen it midway through the game. After a deep route, he fell to the ground in apparent distress, indicating the seriousness of the injury.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport mentioned that Adams is considered “week-to-week.” It is expected that he will miss the Rams’ next matchup against the Seattle Seahawks but may recover in time for the playoff run.

Quote:He was optimistic. He knows his body really well. I can’t imagine that’s good for Thursday but I wouldn’t rule him out quite yet. But it didn’t look good.” — Sean McVay
(Translation: He seemed hopeful. He’s familiar with his physical condition. I doubt he’ll be good to play this Thursday, but I’m not dismissing him just yet. However, the signs are not encouraging.)

Despite the injury, Adams managed to gather 71 yards on four receptions before leaving and currently leads the NFL with 14 receiving touchdowns this season. His absence could impact the upcoming games, especially given that the Rams are seeking to secure their playoff position as they lead the NFC West.

Following their game against the Seahawks, the Rams face the Atlanta Falcons and Arizona Cardinals to round out the regular season.
