With only a few games left in the regular season, much of the attention in the NFL is directed towards the playoff race.
However, the future of several coordinators is also at stake as they face scrutiny that could lead to job changes. Some coordinators have pressing challenges in the upcoming weeks, potentially affecting their coaching careers.
Trying to keep their jobs:
- OC Kevin Patullo, Eagles
- DC Matt Eberflus, Cowboys
- OC Zac Robinson, Falcons
- DC Al Golden, Bengals
Patullo is under pressure due to a lackluster offensive performance this season, and Eberflus faces similar scrutiny with a struggling defense. Robinson’s future is uncertain, hinging on that of head coach Raheem Morris, while Golden’s hiring was intended to enhance a lackluster unit.
Potential head coach candidates:
- OC Joe Brady, Bills
- OC Todd Monken, Ravens
- DC Lou Anarumo, Colts
- OC Kliff Kingsbury, Commanders
- DC Anthony Campanile, Jaguars
- DC Kelvin Sheppard, Lions
- DC Matt Burke, Texans
Brady and Monken have had varying success, leading their offenses effectively but facing uncertainty moving into the next season. Anarumo is a baby-faced candidate based on his recent performance and could become a serious contender for head coaching positions.
Already in the mix: Coordinators like Vance Joseph, Jesse Minter, Klint Kubiak, Brian Flores, and others are likely to be sought after due to their proven records. Their achievements position them as top contenders for head coaching roles as the offseason approaches.
