Jordan Love's Concussion: Packers Quarterback Exits Key Game Against Bears

Jordan Love, the quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, left the game against the Chicago Bears after sustaining a concussion from a hit by Austin Booker.

Quarterback Jordan Love of the Green Bay Packers was taken out of the game against the Chicago Bears due to a concussion.

During the second quarter, with the Packers leading 3-0, Love was sacked by Bears defensive end Austin Booker, who delivered a helmet-to-helmet hit. Following the impact, Love lay on the ground for several minutes while being assessed by medical staff before being taken to the blue medical tent for evaluation. The officials flagged Booker for roughing the passer due to the contact with Love’s head.

After evaluation, the Packers announced that Love was ruled out for the rest of the game with a concussion. The team’s Twitter account stated:

Backup quarterback Malik Willis stepped in for Love, successfully moving the Packers down the field to secure a field goal, leading the Bears by a score of 6-0 at halftime.

This season, Love has maintained a completion rate of 66%, amassing 3,304 yards, 23 touchdowns, and only 6 interceptions, guiding the Packers to a 9-4-1 record, trailing the 10-4 Bears in the division. Notably, Love sustained an injury during a previous game against the Bears in the 2024 season but returned in time for the Packers’ Wild Card matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.
