College baseball’s regular season gets underway today.

The Washington Nationals will not be placed on the clock until July 13. I’ve compiled my preseason ranking of the top 30 prospects based on discussions with scouting personnel and historical analysis.

Top 30 Rankings:

  1. Jamie Arnold, LHP, Florida State
The quick hook: Lefty with good stuff and command.

  2. Jace LaViolette, OF, Texas A&M
The quick hook: Power, discipline, and risk.

  3. Ethan Holliday, SS/3B, Stillwater HS (OK)
The quick hook: Good lineage and left-handed power, but some questions persist.

  4. Tyler Bremner, RHP, UC Santa Barbara
The quick hook: Elite changeup leads the way for the top righty in the class.

  5. Eli Willits, SS, Fort Cobb-Broxton HS (OK)
The quick hook: Athletic, switch-hitting shortstop with high potential.
