For nearly the last 100 years, since the league started tracking interceptions in 1933, every NFL team has recorded at least one interception in every season.
Until now.
The New York Jets have made history at the end of the 2025 season, failing to register a single interception throughout their last 17 games.
In a chance to avoid this historical flop during their Week 18 matchup against the Buffalo Bills, the Jets, facing backup quarterback Mitchell Trubisky instead of the reigning MVP Josh Allen, couldn’t seal the deal with an interception.
The Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers, and Tennessee Titans had the second-fewest interceptions this season, each recording six— a stark contrast from the Jets’ blank performance.
New York struggled as a team under first-year head coach Aaron Glenn, particularly in defense, finishing at the bottom in the league regarding sacks, touchdowns allowed, and rushing stats.
Sunday’s 35-8 defeat leaves the Jets with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, trailing only the Las Vegas Raiders, who finished with the first pick. This also marks the Jets’ 15th consecutive season without making the playoffs, the longest active postseason drought in the NFL.
