HARRISON, N.J. – Michael Bradley’s journey to becoming the head coach of the New York Red Bulls has been swift, making his first-ever comments as a first-team head coach on Monday a moment of significance.

In just seven months, Bradley transitioned from an assistant role to leading the championship-winning Red Bulls’ MLS Next Pro team, subsequently being promoted to the senior team. Both Bradley and the head of sports, Julian de Guzman, described this rapid progression as a series of ’no-brainers'.

As a well-respected former U.S. national team player, Bradley’s coaching career starts in his home state at the same club where he began at age 16. His ambition is clear: to implement a fast, aggressive style of play.

“Everybody has their own ways of thinking about things, but I still believe in a football that is faster and more dynamic,” he stated during a sit-down with CBS Sports.
