Lane Kiffin Continues to Profit from Ole Miss' Playoff Success Following Move to LSU
Despite leaving Ole Miss for LSU, Lane Kiffin earns substantial bonuses from Ole Miss's College Football Playoff journey.
No. 6 Ole Miss had a triumphant entry into the College Football Playoff, winning decisively with a score of 41-10 against No. 11 Tulane at home. This match also marked the debut of Pete Golding as coach for Ole Miss, following Lane Kiffin’s unexpected move to LSU.
Although Kiffin has departed from the program, he still reaps financial rewards due to his agreement with LSU prior to the playoff. LSU committed to covering Kiffin’s playoff incentives should Ole Miss progress in the tournament. Hence, Kiffin has already pocketed $250,000 from LSU thanks to this victory, with potential earnings of up to $1 million if the Rebels clinch the national championship.
The Rebels are set to meet No. 3 Georgia in the Sugar Bowl, where a place in the CFP semifinals will be up for grabs on January 1.
