Mexico's January Squad Includes Three Ex-USA Players

Javier Aguirre names his squad for upcoming friendlies against Panama and Bolivia, featuring three players previously representing the USA.

Javier Aguirre, the head coach of Mexico, has revealed his squad for the international friendlies against Panama and Bolivia. The team features notable players such as Richard Ledezma and Brian Gutiérrez. With no players based in Europe available due to the FIFA window, the squad relies entirely on talent from Liga MX.

Liga MX-only Roster

Aguirre aims to assess the team’s depth and chemistry ahead of the crucial pre-World Cup cycle, utilizing domestic players for evaluation.

Chivas Lead Call-ups

Chivas players dominate the roster, emphasizing local talent as Mexico prepares for the 2026 World Cup.

Both friendlies will take place on the road, as Aguirre expressed the importance of testing players in challenging environments.
