The Kansas vs. Colorado game in Boulder is slated to tip-off just after 11 p.m. ET, meaning the Big 12 matchup will conclude past midnight for many fans.
Yet, if there’s one player in college basketball whose performance is worth a late-night watch, it’s undoubtedly Peterson. After a rough start to the season, marked by several missed games due to injuries, the 6-foot-5 guard is settling in nicely. In a recent game against Baylor, he took 13 shots, making 11, and tallied 26 points along with three assists and two rebounds in an 80-62 triumph. His recent success places him favorably in the discussions of future NBA drafts.
To clarify, while the first overall pick is still very much up in the air – BYU’s AJ Dybantsa is another standout – Peterson’s recent highlights have solidified his position at the top of various mock drafts. Moreover, anticipation builds around Tuesday’s game as Kansas’s head coach, Bill Self, will miss the matchup due to an illness that put him in the hospital.
