Pitbull Ends His Co-Ownership of Trackhouse Racing in NASCAR

This article covers the conclusion of Pitbull's partnership with Trackhouse Racing, a NASCAR team he co-owned since 2021, highlighting key moments and future plans.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. –

Latin hip hop superstar Pitbull has announced the end of his partnership with NASCAR Cup Series team Trackhouse Racing, stepping away from his role as team co-owner effective immediately. Pitbull co-owned Trackhouse alongside former NASCAR driver Justin Marks since the team’s inception in 2021.

The announcement arrives just ahead of the Daytona 500, where Pitbull is slated to perform a pre-race concert. Trackhouse has four cars in the Daytona 500, with Ross Chastain, Daniel Suarez, Shane van Gisbergen as full-time drivers and Helio Castroneves making his NASCAR debut.

“Over the past five years, we’ve made history by introducing NASCAR to a whole new audience and falling in love with NASCAR fans at the same time,” Pitbull said in a statement. “We made the decision to terminate the partnership with Trackhouse Racing, effective immediately. We’re looking forward to performing on the sport’s biggest stage this Sunday, the Daytona 500.”

Pitbull’s relationship with NASCAR has been a significant one, with the artist embodying the crossover appeal between music and motorsports. He was a long-time fan before becoming a team owner and has been prominent at the Daytona 500 in previous years.

As he steps away, the future of Trackhouse looks promising with their successful drivers and a growing fan base.
