UFC is set to embark on a new journey as it kicks off its partnership with Paramount+ on Saturday night in Las Vegas at UFC 324, taking place at the T-Mobile Arena. The central fight features an interim lightweight title contest between Justin Gaethje and Paddy Pimblett.

The fighters will contend for a portion of the lightweight title at 155 pounds, while current champion Ilia Topuria remains inactive. The goal is for Saturday’s victor to face Topuria later this year.

Gaethje, a seasoned opponent, is no stranger to such stakes. Having previously held the interim title after defeating Tony Ferguson in 2020, he yearns to capture the full championship after setbacks against Khabib Nurmagomedov and Charles Oliveira. Despite these hurdles, “The Highlight” persists in remaining relevant late in his career, including a notable win over Rafael Fiziev in March 2025.

Conversely, Pimblett is surging forward, striving for his inaugural UFC title. Undefeated in the Octagon with seven matches, he notably TKO’d Michael Chandler last April. Gaethje represents the most formidable test of Pimblett’s burgeoning career.

This event marks a pivotal shift, as it represents the first time in four years that a numbered event will stream live in the U.S. without being on Pay-Per-View. A mere subscription to Paramount+ is required to view each fight.
