Missouri Triumphs with Dramatic Buzzer-Beaters Against Oklahoma

In a thrilling overtime finish, Missouri stunned Oklahoma with back-to-back buzzer-beater shots, securing a narrow 88-87 victory.

Missouri produced an extraordinary display of late-game exploits on Saturday, achieving victory with two astounding buzzer-beaters, besting Oklahoma 88-87 in overtime.

The excitement commenced at the final moments of regulation. With Oklahoma leading 81-78 and only five seconds remaining, Missouri’s junior Trent Pierce launched a 37-foot 3-pointer assisted by T.O. Barrett, forcing overtime and keeping the Tigers’ hopes alive.

Continuing the thrilling contest, Oklahoma’s Xzayvier Brown hit a floater to give the Sooners an 87-85 lead. However, Barrett swiftly passed to Mark Mitchell, who confidently made the game-winning 3-pointer as time expired.

This remarkable achievement marked Mitchell’s fifth career double-double with a total of 25 points and 10 rebounds, surpassing 1,500 career points in the process.

The win provides much-needed momentum for Missouri after struggling in recent games, as they look ahead to facing No. 17 Alabama next Tuesday.
