UFC 324 Achieves Record Viewership on Paramount+

The initial UFC numbered event on Paramount+ set a new record for exclusive live broadcasts, outshining previous events.

The inaugural UFC event as part of the partnership with Paramount Skydance took place last Saturday, featuring UFC 324 from Las Vegas. Headlining the event, Justin Gaethje claimed victory over Paddy Pimblett, securing the interim lightweight championship. The event marked Paramount+’s largest exclusive live broadcast, achieving nearly five million views and reaching seven million households.

By transitioning away from the pay-per-view model, UFC 324 was able to access more homes than any UFC event in almost a decade, with a peak of over 5.9 million concurrent streams. Additionally, the event generated considerable social media engagement, trending as the top subject for six hours.

Going forward, all UFC numbered events and Fight Nights will air on Paramount+ without extra fees under this seven-year deal.

In the main event, Gaethje dominated Pimblett in a five-round bout, winning by unanimous decision. This victory makes him the first fighter to hold the interim title twice in UFC history. He is now set to unify his interim title with the full champion Ilia Topuria, who is currently dealing with a divorce.

The next event, UFC 325, will be broadcast live from Sydney, Australia, headlined by Alexander Volkanovski defending his featherweight title against Diego Lopes starting at 9 p.m. ET.
