Tom Brady’s recent comment stating that he won’t be cheering for either the New England Patriots or the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX has sparked considerable debate. Former Patriots player Vince Wilfork did not hold back in expressing his discontent with Brady’s position during an interview on WEEI 93.7, describing Brady’s neutrality as “bullcrap.”
In a quoted segment, Wilfork states,
“If you’re a Patriot for life, you know what it is. Don’t give me that political bullcrap.”
Translation: “If you’re a Patriot for life, you know what it is. Don’t give me that political nonsense.”
Wilfork continued to urge Brady not to sit on the fence regarding his loyalties, suggesting that if he did not believe the Patriots would win the game, he should simply choose to support the Seahawks instead.
A few days prior, Brady had remarked on the “Let’s Go!” podcast that he had no stake in the game, marking a significant shift in his association with the Patriots since concluding his career with them. He is now involved with the Raiders as a minority owner and has embarked on a broadcasting career.
Both Wilfork and Brady boast remarkable achievements: Brady with six Super Bowl titles with the Patriots and Wilfork with two alongside him, underscoring the contentious nature of Brady’s current stance.
