The upcoming NFL season’s culmination will mark the 60th Super Bowl, set to take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. This will be the second time the venue, home of the San Francisco 49ers, hosts the Super Bowl, and the third time for the San Francisco Bay area. The last Super Bowl at this location was Super Bowl 50, where the Denver Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers.

Next year, the big game will be held in the Los Angeles area at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, where both the Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Rams play.

The Super Bowl has been hosted across various cities and stadiums throughout its history. Each area wishing to host submits a proposal years ahead of the event. The NFL owners cast votes on the selected city a few years prior to the scheduled game. Notably, the 2028 Super Bowl is already earmarked for Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Historically, Florida has accommodated the most Super Bowls at 17, followed closely by California (12) and Louisiana (11).
