Tim Weah's Journey: Finding Home at Marseille After Juventus

After a difficult spell with Juventus, Tim Weah reveals how joining Marseille in 2025 has brought him renewed hope and stability.

Tim Weah has opened up about his trying period at Juventus, describing himself as a ‘broken player’ upon his transfer to Marseille in 2025. He struggled with motivation during his time in Italy but has now found stability in France.

Weah’s Move to Marseille

After moving to Juventus in the summer of 2023 for over €10 million, Weah found it hard to secure regular playing time. His comeback to France, initially on loan to Marseille, reflects his desire for a fresh start in his career.

A New Beginning

From the moment he arrived at Olympique Marseille, Weah mentioned feeling a supportive atmosphere. “When I got here, they took on a player who was a bit broken, lacking in confidence. Getting up in the morning was hard for me. But they believed in me,” he shared.

He has since become an integral part of the team, claiming he feels a part of the club and its culture, resonating with the local fans. Having played 28 matches, he is hoping to contribute significantly to Marseille’s success in the upcoming Champions League fixtures, particularly against rivals Paris Saint-Germain.

Tim emphasized how excited he is to be playing again in front of packed crowds, stating, “Playing in a stadium full for every match, with the shouts of the fans, is special.” He looks forward to helping Marseille reclaim its position as a team to be reckoned with in European competitions.
