Ludvig Åberg Achieves First Hole-in-One at Genesis Invitational

Ludvig Åberg sets the golf world abuzz with his first career hole-in-one during the Genesis Invitational, propelling him into contention.

What can’t this kid do? In the third round of the 2025 Genesis Invitational, Ludvig Åberg stunned with a tee shot on the downhill par-3 3rd that spun back into the cup for a hole-in-one. The San Diego crowd erupted as Åberg celebrated this significant milestone in his early PGA Tour career.

Using a pitching wedge from 140 yards, Åberg executed a controlled swing on the challenging par 3. The ball struck the flag stick, bounced a couple of times, and ultimately rolled back into the hole.

With this ace, Åberg moved to 6 under par for the tournament, now only three strokes behind the leader, Davis Thompson, who birdied the first hole of his round.

This achievement marked an electrifying moment on what is proving to be a thrilling day at Torrey Pines as Åberg, along with other top golfers like Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, aim to capitalize on the moving day of the tournament.
