Experts Favor Ty Gibbs for 2026 Daytona 500 Predictions and Prop Bets

NASCAR experts Phil Bobbitt and Steve Greco endorse Ty Gibbs as a top contender for the Daytona 500, showcasing his impressive track record.

The 2026 NASCAR Cup Series kicks off on Sunday at Daytona International Speedway with the 68th running of the Daytona 500.

Joey Logano is the +1000 co-favorite (risk $100 to win $1000) along with pole sitter Kyle Busch at FanDuel Sportsbook. Ryan Blaney is close behind at +1100 and Chase Elliott at +1200. Other contenders of note include Denny Hamlin and back-to-back winner William Byron, both at +1300.

Austin Cindric (+1400) and defending NASCAR champion Kyle Larson (+1700) are the only other drivers inside of +2000.

Sunday’s ‘Great American Race’ is set to begin at 2:30 p.m. ET. Before placing any 2026 Daytona 500 bets, see what elite auto racing experts Phil Bobbitt and Steve Greco recommend.

Bobbitt and Greco built a predictive engine that has consistently performed well, gathering over $28,000 in profit for their followers in the last four years. They nailed seven outright winners in the Cup Series last season alone.

Now, they have evaluated the odds for Sunday’s 2026 Daytona 500 race. Check their top picks at SportsLine.

2026 Daytona 500 Prop Picks

One of their prime picks is backing Ty Gibbs as a top-3 finisher, a prop that pays out +1200. “Ty Gibbs doesn’t feel like a superspeedway ace,” Bobbitt pointed out, but his statistics suggest otherwise.

He ranked fourth in laps led on superspeedways last season (11.3 per race) and had the fifth-best average finish (15.3).
