2026 NFL Draft Compensatory Picks: Ravens, Eagles, and Steelers Lead the Pack

Leading teams in the 2026 NFL Draft compensatory picks revealed, highlighting the Ravens, Eagles, and Steelers.

The NFL announced there will be 33 compensatory picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, allocated to 15 teams. The Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles, and Pittsburgh Steelers lead with the most picks, each receiving four, the maximum permitted per team.

The Ravens have accumulated a total of 64 compensatory picks since 1994, which is the highest in the league.

The Minnesota Vikings will make their first compensatory pick at No. 97 overall, while the Denver Broncos will finish the round with picks at Nos. 256 and 257. Four teams have secured third-round compensatory picks: the Eagles, Steelers, and Jaguars, with the Vikings’ No. 97 pick being the first of this group.

The Jaguars received their pick through the Detroit Lions, who were eligible since they lost former defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn to the New York Jets as head coach. The NFL allows compensatory picks for teams that lose a minority employee who becomes a head coach or primary football executive elsewhere.

The Chicago Bears filed for a compensatory pick concerning Ian Cunningham’s move to the Atlanta Falcons, but the NFL ruled that he did not qualify as a primary executive.

The third-round picks awarded to the Vikings, Eagles, and Steelers were a result of the departures of Sam Darnold, Milton Williams, and Dan Moore Jr. respectively.
