Jordan Brand will create the Brazil national team’s away kit for the 2026 World Cup in North America. This marks the first time the brand will provide apparel for players during the tournament.
The design draws inspiration from apex predators and the notion of “the threat of joy.” According to Mackenzie Sam, the apparel design director, this concept illustrates how a smiling Brazilian player on the field is at their most dangerous.
The away kit features patterns reminiscent of the dart frog, jaguar, and anaconda. The dart frog’s colors inspired the kit’s palette, while the jaguar influenced its pattern and shape. The anaconda provided inspiration for the linear textures present in the material.
“We pulled inspiration from elements like the dart frog, which really informed the colors of the away kit,” said Sam. “We pulled inspiration from the jaguar, which informed the pattern… and from the anaconda, which informed the linear texture of the material.”
The kits are made using the Aero-FIT performance cooling technology, designed to identify players’ sweat zones and enhance breathability in areas that need it most. This comes just in time for the World Cup where matches are expected to occur in hot and humid conditions.
Jordan Brand is also releasing a lifestyle collection alongside the kits, including an anthem jacket inspired by Brazil’s championship jerseys from 2002. This collection will include diamond shorts reflecting the legacy of basketball legend Michael Jordan, incorporating color schemes familiar to Brazil.
The complete collection will be available on Nike’s website and select retailers from Thursday. Brazil is set to debut these new kits on March 26 during a friendly against France at Gillette Stadium in the Boston area, a World Cup venue.
Officially, Brazil, the holders of five World Cup titles, will commence Play in Group C against Morocco on June 13, followed by a matchup with Haiti on June 19 at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field, concluding the group stage against Scotland on June 24 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
