The Philadelphia Eagles took steps to fill their offensive coordinator position following Kellen Moore’s exit to become the head coach for the New Orleans Saints after the Eagles’ recent Super Bowl victory. With this change, Jalen Hurts will now have his twelfth offensive play-caller in ten seasons since leaving high school, and his sixth since joining Philadelphia.
With Moore’s departure, the Eagles have chosen Kevin Patullo, who was previously the passing game coordinator and has been involved in the Eagles’ coaching staff since Nick Sirianni’s arrival in 2021. Patullo has a history as a wide receivers coach and a passing game specialist with the Indianapolis Colts, contributing significantly to evolving the team’s strategies.
“There were definitely some similarities between the two of us, and there are some differences too,” Patullo noted during media sessions. “That’s what makes this work. We do see it a little bit differently, but we always come to the same common ground. It’s been fun to challenge and push each other to grow as coaches.
Patullo continued to express his learning experience under Moore and his focus on effective game strategies, aiming to adapt Moore’s influential offensive tactics to his new role.
