Trae Young's Frustration with Referees Following Hawks' Loss to Magic

After a tough loss against the Orlando Magic, Trae Young shares his thoughts on referees and officiating bias.

After the Atlanta Hawks faced defeat against the Orlando Magic, Trae Young expressed his frustration towards the refereeing.

During the game, Young scored 38 points, but it wasn’t sufficient to secure a victory as the Hawks fell to the Magic 114-108. In a passionate post-game statement, he criticized certain officials for their perceived bias against him, suggesting they held a personal grudge.

“[The Magic] shot 10 more free throws than us… If you ask around the league, you would know they’re probably a more physical team than we are,” Young stated.

“It’s personal for some of these refs… You just wish that you could get some refs that just don’t take things personally.”

Young’s comments reflect a broader concern among players regarding officiating fairness, particularly for those known for drawing fouls.
