Anthony Davis to Miss More Time with Groin Injury but Making Progress

Dallas Mavericks' star Anthony Davis is sidelined for at least two more weeks due to a groin injury, with coach Jason Kidd indicating positive recovery.

Anthony Davis is set to be sidelined for at least two additional weeks due to a groin injury, as confirmed by coach Jason Kidd, who noted that Davis is making good progress in his recovery.

“You’re never guaranteed to be healthy,” Kidd stated. Translation: “You’re never guaranteed to be healthy.”

With Dallas currently positioned eighth in the Western Conference, Coach Kidd expressed optimism about the team’s playoff goals if they can regain their health. Davis had been performing well prior to his injury during his debut game with the Mavericks against the Houston Rockets on February 8.

Kidd is hopeful as they prepare for their upcoming game against the New Orleans Pelicans. The team is facing significant injury setbacks with other key players also recovering from injuries, adding further pressure as they focus on climbing the conference standings.

Davis’s absence emphasizes the challenge for the Mavericks, particularly with the injuries sustained by centers Dereck Lively II, Daniel Gafford, and Dwight Powell. As they navigate through these challenges, the Mavericks have recently signed Moses Brown to provide depth.
