As February rolls into full swing, baseball season inches closer with spring training games scheduled to start shortly. The latest news sees the Houston Astros expressing renewed interest in acquiring Nolan Arenado from the St. Louis Cardinals.

The trade would have initially happened in December, but Arenado used his no-trade clause to prevent the move. Now, reports suggest he might consider waiving it for an opportunity with the Astros.

Rizzo, meanwhile, at 35 remains unsigned and is contemplating retirement. He mentions, “I’ve definitely thought about it. I think I have a lot to give to the game still…But if teams are not willing to pay…” His career has been marred by injuries, and only time will tell his eventual decision.

Additionally, the Milwaukee Brewers announced that outfielder Blake Perkins will be sidelined for 3-4 weeks due to a shin fracture, affecting their roster as they prepare for the season.
