Details of the Incident
Fiorentina striker Moise Kean collapsed on the pitch during a Serie A match against Hellas Verona on Sunday, shortly after sustaining a blow to the head from a collision with Verona midfielder Pawel Dawidowicz’s knee. After the incident, he was taken to the hospital, where it was revealed that he had suffered head trauma, prompting immediate examination.
What Happened?
Despite the gravity of the injury, Kean had initially returned to the game with a bandage on his head. However, minutes later, he collapsed, leading his teammates to urgently call for medical assistance. Observers noted his hands moving as he was transported off the field on a stretcher.
This marked the second incident of a player collapsing during a match for Fiorentina this season, following the cardiac arrest suffered by Edoardo Bove during a game against Inter on December 1. Bove’s incident led to the suspension of that match, which was later resumed in February with Fiorentina achieving a 3-0 victory, a match where Kean scored twice.
