Josh Sargent scored two goals in Norwich City’s 4-1 win against Stoke City, marking a successful return to form with the Canaries. Currently, he boasts 11 goals and five assists in the Championship and is poised for a call-up with the US Men’s National Team. With other forwards sidelined by injuries, Sargent sees this as his opportunity to become a starting forward for the USMNT as the Concacaf Nations League approaches.
“Numbers are looking good at the moment, so I’m happy,” Sargent shared with CBS Sports Golazo Network.
“Coming into this season, I had very high standards for myself. I definitely wanted to be in the race for top goal scorer. Unfortunately, you know, with another injury, had a bit of a setback. Very happy with how I responded, and I just want to keep it going now.”
As Sargent steps into the upcoming matches, fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see if he can secure his role and make a lasting impression ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
