The Irish initially took a strong position, leading by nine at the end of the first quarter and extending it to a 15-point lead early in the second. However, Florida State mounted a comeback, fueled by a 19-3 run, ultimately gaining the upper hand for the majority of the game.

Despite a late surge by Notre Dame closing the gap, Ta’Niya Latson of Florida State showcased clutch performance down the stretch, finishing the game with 23 points, five rebounds, and nine assists.
