The 2025 NFL Draft is set to start with the Tennessee Titans holding the No. 1 overall pick. Recent reports indicate that the Titans are open to trading this pick and have taken calls from various teams interested in moving up, including the New York Giants, who hold the No. 3 pick.
Although the Titans have a pressing need for a quarterback, General Manager Mike Borgonzi confirmed during a press conference at the NFL Scouting Combine that they have received inquiries regarding their top pick.
“I would say we’ve had some phone calls, yeah,” Borgonzi stated, emphasizing that he would keep the details of these discussions confidential.
He further added that a significant return is expected if they decide to trade the No. 1 pick.
Historically, the last team to trade out of the No. 1 overall pick was the Chicago Bears in 2023, who traded with the Carolina Panthers, acquiring multiple valuable assets including a 2024 first-round pick.
As the draft approaches, the Titans might consider other talents to fill their needs, such as pass rusher Abdul Carter from Penn State or versatile player Travis Hunter.
