Multiple players were ejected following an altercation during the Oklahoma City Thunder’s 146-132 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday. The incident began when Spurs’ forward Julian Champagnie attempted to create space against Thunder’s Kenrich Williams by swinging his elbows.
An elbow strike caught Williams, leading to a confrontation that escalated into a collection of players clustering and a flurry of pushes, shoves, and shouted insults.

No punches were thrown, and everyone remained unhurt. After reviewing the incident, the officials decided to assess technical fouls to Williams, Champagnie, and Dort, while Sochan received a technical but stayed in the game.
Such incidents are bound to happen during an 82-game season, where competitive aspects can overcome player composure. The NBA is continually working to discourage fights by implementing serious penalties to prevent escalation.
While no physical harm came to anyone in this incident, it will be intriguing to see if any players receive fines from the league soon.
