Mavericks Increase Season Ticket Prices Following Doncic Trade

The Dallas Mavericks have announced an increase in their season ticket prices shortly after trading superstar Luka Doncic to the Lakers.

The Dallas Mavericks revealed on Monday that they are raising season ticket prices for next season, just weeks after dealing star Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Mavericks stated that season tickets will increase by an average of 8.61% next season due to “ongoing investments in the team and fan engagement.”

Fan dissatisfaction has been prevalent following the trade of Doncic, a beloved player, to the Lakers in exchange for a package that includes Anthony Davis, a talented but frequently injured 10-time All-Star.

Davis scored 26 points in his Mavericks debut on February 8 but left the game late with a groin injury and hasn’t played since.

Meanwhile, Doncic has excelled with the Lakers, quickly restoring their championship aspirations. The five-time All-Star previously led the Mavs to the NBA Finals last season, where they faced defeat against the Boston Celtics.

Despite the price increases, the Mavericks assure full-season ticket holders will still save 15% to 23% compared to projected secondary market prices, with approximately 4,200 seats per game remaining below $40.
