Baylor's Mack Rhoades Appointed as Chair of the College Football Playoff Selection Committee

The College Football Playoff has made important changes, appointing Mack Rhoades as the new chairperson along with six new members to the selection committee.

Baylor athletics director Mack Rhoades has been appointed as the new chair of the College Football Playoff (CFP) Selection Committee. Rhoades, who was a member of the committee last season, will succeed Warde Manuel from the University of Michigan.

In a statement, Rhoades expressed his honor to chair the committee, highlighting the integrity and excellence of the playoff process. The recent adjustments to the committee, including six new members, aim to ensure effective leadership as college football navigates changes in playoff formats.

Upcoming changes to the CFP are anticipated as discussions continue regarding the potential expansion to a 14-team playoff in 2026.
