Tyrrell Hatton has once again proven his mettle on the DP World Tour, securing a sensational victory at the 2025 Dubai Desert Classic with a final round of 69, ending at 15 under par. This triumph marks his fifth Rolex Series title, tying him with Jon Rahm for the record.
“It feels amazing,” Hatton stated. *This is one of the events that you would like to have on your C.V. It’s such an iconic event for the DP World Tour. To add my name to the list of the amazing champions that have been before me, and to have my name on that trophy now, it’s a dream come true."
With this victory, Hatton is expected to rise in the Official World Golf Rankings and solidify his position for the Ryder Cup, having started the week in third place in the European team standings.
Hatton began the final round just a stroke behind Daniel Hillier but quickly moved to the forefront with a birdie on the second hole. His performance continued to impress with another birdie on the 6th hole, extending his lead.
As he approached the final holes, he maintained his edge, completing the event with a strong finish, ultimately leading to his ascendance among the top players in golf as the 2025 season progresses.
“Brilliant, absolutely brilliant from Tyrrell Hatton!” said a spectator, as he tapped in another birdie, further solidifying his lead with just two holes left.
Hatton expressed his ambition for continuing to perform well in upcoming major events, stating, “…winning here puts me in a good position. But I still need to go play really well in the majors. That’s what I’m going to try and do.”
