A Former Pro Bowler Reveals His Tactics for Evading NFL Drug Tests

Adam 'Pacman' Jones shares his experiences of cheating NFL drug tests during his career.

Former NFL player Adam “Pacman” Jones has disclosed that he frequently smoked marijuana during his career yet managed to avoid punishments due to his clever tactics for evading drug tests.

Speaking on Deion Sanders’ Tubi show, “We Got Time Today,” Jones revealed he would use another person’s urine to cheat the NFL’s drug screening process. He confidently stated, “People don’t know how smart I am, but I could say it now, I don’t play no more. I’ve never used my pee for a piss test. Not one time.”

Although Jones never got caught, he referenced a fellow player, Onterrio Smith, who was famously apprehended at an airport with a device known as the Whizzinator, designed to help users pass drug tests.

After sharing his experience, Sanders remarked that such strategies would likely no longer work. However, Jones insisted that similar techniques could still be effective if implemented correctly. He reflected on his career in the league, which began in 2006 with the Tennessee Titans, emphasizing that despite his controversial practices, he was never suspended for failing a drug test.

The NFL has since modified its drug policies, increasing the thresholds for positive marijuana tests and even eliminating suspensions for failing such tests, making it easier for players like Jones to avoid punishment.
