Bowling Green Eyes Eddie George as Coaching Candidate

Former NFL star and current Tennessee State coach emerges as a leading contender for the open head coaching position at Bowling Green.

Eddie George has emerged as a promising candidate in Bowling Green’s coaching search, according to recent reports.

Bowling Green is expected to finalize its decision soon after interviewing three finalists, including George, on Friday.

The Falcons are looking for a replacement for former coach Scot Loeffler, who recently joined the Philadelphia Eagles as the quarterbacks coach, after posting a 27-41 record during his six seasons.

George recently led Tennessee State to its best season at 9-4 and a championship appearance in FCS playoffs. His coaching career, which began in 2021, has seen growth year over year, with notable success in the past two seasons.
