The Indianapolis Colts continue to bolster their defense with new acquisitions during the NFL’s legal tampering period. They have finalized a three-year deal with cornerback Charvarius Ward, valued at $60 million, according to reports. Ward is set to receive $35 million guaranteed, which includes $20 million as a signing bonus.
Ward, who has demonstrated significant defensive prowess since joining San Francisco, recorded 41 pass deflections since 2022, ranking him among the top players in the league. His performance in the 2023 season earned him a place in the Pro Bowl and a second-team All-Pro selection, contributing to the 49ers achieving the NFC’s top seed.
This signing reflects the Colts’ commitment to strengthen their secondary, alongside another signing of Vikings safety Camryn Bynum earlier on the same day.
