Adams and Reyna Star in USMNT Nations League Roster Announcement

Tyler Adams and Gio Reyna have been included in the USMNT roster for the upcoming Nations League finals, showcasing a mix of experience and talent.

Tyler Adams and Gio Reyna are set to make their first appearances in the U.S. Men’s National Team camp under new head coach Mauricio Pochettino. They have been named to the 23-man squad for the upcoming Concacaf Nations League finals in Los Angeles.

Usual stars like Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie, and Timothy Weah will also feature alongside Adams and Reyna, who had missed previous camps due to injuries. The U.S. faces Panama next Thursday in a semifinal match at SoFi Stadium, hoping to secure a spot in the finals against Canada or Mexico on March 23.

The team aims for its fourth consecutive Nations League title after victories in 2021, 2023, and the previous year.

Pochettino emphasized the opportunity to win a trophy, stating:
This is a massive opportunity to win a trophy and that is our clear objective.
He added, ‘We must continue to show our quality, our bravery, and our commitment to each other.’

Reyna’s Selection Amid Limited Playtime

Despite limited appearances for Borussia Dortmund, Reyna’s talent earned him a spot.

‘It’s true that maybe he’s not playing too much, but he’s a great player for us,’ Pochettino commented. ‘We want to win this competition, and he can help us.’

Cameron Carter-Vickers’ inclusion marks his camp debut under Pochettino, while other players were also rewarded for their earlier performances.

Important Decisions on Roster Cuts

Players such as Aaronson and Miles Robinson were left off the list, highlighting the competitive nature of the roster selections.

Pochettino remarked, ‘We’re disappointed because we cannot call all of them. Sometimes it’s about balance on the field and making the right selection.’
