Kyle Juszczyk Returns to 49ers with New Two-Year Contract

The San Francisco 49ers have signed their Pro Bowl fullback Kyle Juszczyk to a two-year deal after he briefly tested free agency.

The San Francisco 49ers weren’t ready to transition away from their veteran fullback Kyle Juszczyk after all. According to ESPN, they have agreed to a two-year, $9 million deal to keep him in San Francisco.

Juszczyk had explored the free agency market, including a visit with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ultimately, he returned to the 49ers.

At 33, Juszczyk has been a consistent Pro Bowl selection since 2016, the last season with the Baltimore Ravens, who drafted him in the 2013 NFL Draft. He has also represented the 49ers in multiple Pro Bowls, contributing significantly to their success, including NFC championship wins in 2019 and 2023.

The seasoned fullback has kept the position alive in a league where it is often fading, being the only player in NFL history to earn nine consecutive Pro Bowl selections. In an offseason where other teams have spent an unprecedented $321 million on departing free agents, the 49ers have limited their spending to just $46 million.
