MLS’s 30th season is in full swing. Now, the opponent for the All-Star game has been revealed. The match will occur at Q2 Stadium in July, where MLS All-Stars will again face Liga MX All-Stars. This will be the second consecutive season and the fourth clash in five years.
“We are thrilled to once again host LIGA MX at the 2025 MLS All-Star Game, showcasing the best talent from our leagues,” said MLS Executive Vice President Camilo Durana. “It’s an exciting matchup for the first-ever professional All-Star Game played in Austin, bringing a thrilling rivalry to the passionate Austin community and to fans globally watching on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app.”
With stars like Giorgos Giakoumakis and Mateusz Bogusz transitioning to Liga MX, along with global icons like Sergio Ramos and James Rodriguez, this event promises to be star-studded. In recent years, the MLS All-Stars have faced Liga MX three times, achieving one win, one draw, and one loss. As both leagues interact through competitions like the Concacaf Champions Cup and Leagues Cup, this All-Star game aims to enhance the growing rivalry.
The game at Austin allows supporters to flaunt the Q2 Stadium atmosphere, which has a history of selling out all home matches.
