
2026 World Cup Overview
The 2026 World Cup is set to feature a record 48 teams, with Japan being the first nation outside of the three host nations to qualify. The tournament, which will take place in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, starts on June 11 and concludes with the final on July 19.
Forty-three teams will qualify through their respective continental processes, with an additional two spots available via international playoffs in March 2026.

- Europe: 16 guaranteed teams
Qualification Status
