Amir Khan, the Viral Star of McNeese, Set to Join Will Wade at NC State

As the NCAA Tournament unfolds, McNeese manager Amir Khan emerges as a viral sensation, potentially following Coach Will Wade to NC State later this year.

The NCAA Tournament brings unexpected moments that push certain individuals into the limelight. This time, it’s McNeese’s manager, Amir Khan, whose unique charm against the backdrop of March Madness has made him an internet sensation.

Before the tournament games, Khan donned a custom Under Armour outfit with “AURA” inscribed on the back.

Matt Norlander tweeted: “McNeese manager Amir “Aura” Khan now has a customized Under Armour jumpsuit. Company reps flew into Providence last night. I’m told he has 12 NIL deals, all totaling well into the six figures. Buffalo Wild Wings, TickPick and TurboTax are the three biggest. Nothing like March. pic.twitter.com/Jl0DctW6K1

Despite the team’s exit from the tournament, Khan’s opportunities for marketing have greatly expanded, with staff member Reed Vial reporting a surge of inquiries.

“The expectation is NC State will announce Wade as its next coach on Sunday,” Vial conveyed. Khan, anticipated to join Wade’s lineup as a graduate manager, is weighing his options for the future.

Khan emphasized his decision-making process would take a little while but declared himself open to following Wade to NC State.

As the tournament includes the Manager Games, Khan’s dynamic rise in basketball is only expected to amplify moving forward. “The way that works is that the first three rounds are voting, but if you get to the Elite Eight, you play,” Khan explained. The story of a student manager who turned viral symbolizes his determination and the essence of March Madness.
