After a successful tenure at Colorado State, Niko Medved returns to his roots as the new head coach of the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Athletic Director Mark Coyle was determined to bring Medved back to the school where he played and coached. Medved successfully took Colorado State to the NCAA Tournament and upset notable teams. With roots in the area, he expressed excitement to lead Minnesota’s program while the Gophers seek stability in a competitive Big Ten landscape.
