Boston Legacy FC has officially revealed their name ahead of joining the NWSL in the 2026 season. The franchise undertook a five-month naming process, transitioning from their initial name, BOS Nation FC, which was met with negative feedback. Owner Jennifer Epstein stated, “Our name is just the beginning. It’s what we build together…” Former USWNT star Kristine Lilly also expressed excitement for the new name and the return of women’s soccer to Boston.
