NBA Delays Bucks-Pelicans Match Due to Severe Snowstorm in New Orleans

The NBA has postponed a key matchup between the Milwaukee Bucks and New Orleans Pelicans following a significant snowstorm in New Orleans that made travel hazardous.

The NBA announced that it has postponed the scheduled game on Wednesday evening in New Orleans between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Pelicans. This decision comes after a historic winter storm brought approximately one foot of snow to the Big Easy.

Travel became extremely risky due to the accumulation of snow, particularly for a city with limited snow removal resources. Fortunately, the Milwaukee Bucks managed to arrive early; they flew in a day ahead of schedule on Monday.

However, Wednesday’s temperatures lingered in the 30s, major highways were closed, and local roads were icy. As a result, schools and businesses in the area remained closed that day, raising uncertainty about the Bucks’ travel plan for their game in Miami scheduled for Thursday.

Louis Armstrong International Airport also had to cancel all departing commercial flights for Wednesday. The Pelicans are set to face the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday evening.
